Visual Merchandising Manager — Full-Time
Applicants should possess the following qualifications
- 3+ years of retail or visual merchandising experience (home, furniture, or lifestyle preferred).
- Strong understanding of design, space planning, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to lift and move items over 50 lbs; physically capable and safety-minded.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly and think creatively in an ever-changing retail environment.
- Weekend availability required.
- A passion for home, design, and creating spaces that inspire.
Job responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute visual merchandising strategies that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
- Lead the overall placement, flow, and seasonal transitions of merchandise across the store’s indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Collaborate closely with store leadership to plan product stories, layouts, and visual moments that align with brand goals.
- Manage the setup and takedown of seasonal collections, installations, and special events.
- Maintain merchandising standards that reflect The Oakland Home’s signature aesthetic.
- Train and inspire team members on visual presentation and brand consistency. Use basic tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
- Support the overall store environment, ensuring it feels inspiring, organized, and ready for customers each day.
